STEVE is a partner in our New York office and a member of the firm’s mergers and acquisitions group. Steve’s practice focuses on the representation of private and public emerging growth companies, venture capital funds and other private equity funds in mergers, acquisitions and complex financing transactions, including leveraged buyouts, later-stage venture capital and "growth equity" financings, and other private equity transactions. Steve works with companies and funds in the fields of new media, software, communications, life sciences and consumer products, and has significant experience executing transactions in Western Europe, India, and China.

Steve also represents issuers and underwriters in public offerings, and serves as an advisor to both private and public companies in the areas of securities regulation, corporate governance, intellectual property protection, licensing and other commercial matters.

Steve received his J.D. from the Columbia University School of Law, where he was named a James Kent Scholar, worked as an Articles Editor for the Columbia-VLA Journal of Law & the Arts, and served as a Teaching and Research Fellow in Contracts for Professor E. Allan Farnsworth. He received his undergraduate degree, cum laude, from Princeton University, where he majored in Civil Engineering and Operations Research. He is qualified to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Steve is a member of the bars of the State of New York and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
